廉政，一个老生常谈的话题，与之背道而驰的则是遭人唾弃的贪污。常言道“妖雾弥漫的地方必有妖怪，歪风邪气盛行的地方必有贪污。”贪污成风的清政府时代，“三年清知府，十万雪花银。”是官场的真实写照，从最高统治者皇帝一直到下面的各级官僚，几乎无一不贪。军机大臣和坤当政20年，大肆贪污受贿。家产值白银10亿两，相当于当时清政府20年的财政收入!满清末年贪污更盛，官僚们疯狂受贿、贪污，大肆占有土地，一些地方甚至出现了“有田者什一，无田者什九”的局面。在这样的近乎疯狂的贪污下，民不聊生，社会矛盾空前激化，清朝统治者由贪污走向了覆灭，其实何止是清政府?“历览前贤国与家，成由勤俭败由奢。”廉政，是一个国家一个民族的安定与公正的保证。试想，假若没有海瑞、包拯、西门豹、刘墉……一系列为民做主两袖清风的清官良臣，那君主何以安民?民又何以服君?《左传》上说“国家之败，由官邪也;官之失德，宠贿章也。”讲的就是官之廉政对于国对于民的重要意义。

廉政，永远都是不过时的美丽。1976年1月，联合国总部就“破例”给已故中国xxx总理xxxxxx以示哀悼，那时与中国建交的国家只有103个，但却有130个国家的党政领导人致唁电唁函，几乎所有重要国家的报纸、电台都在第一时间报道了这一消息。更值得注意的是，联合国xxx的行动竟完全突破了联合国《旗典》中的相关规定，与此同时，国内的人民也早早的从四面八方赶到首都，浩浩荡荡的“十里长街送总理”成为千古佳话。
