我心疼地看着这棵树。

它们还在大树身上的时候，就已经死了。去年冬天实在太寒冷，学校门口那原本茂盛的大榕树仿佛一夜之间就从绿色褪成了满树的金黄，又仿佛一夜之间，连金黄的色泽也没有了，褪成了暗黄色，枝条奄奄一息地耷拉着，和他旁边另外一棵大榕树形成了鲜明的对比。

终于，这棵树上的所有死树都被剪了下来。这棵原本大得像朵绿花菜的树变成了典型的“光头”，冷不丁一看，像座灰色的假山。鸟儿停在隔壁的树上唱歌，而小松鼠呢，从来也不过去。它孤零零地站在春光里。它很伤心，很孤单，很失落，像一个什么都没有的废物。

我和其他人看了一会儿，就散了。

第二天过去了。第三天过去了。

那一天早晨，我背着书包进入校门，和往常一样，迎接我们的是清香袅袅的紫罗兰，层层冒花的红花继木，争奇斗艳的蝴蝶兰，一枚一枚贴满墙壁的爬山虎。但是，我重点关注的是那棵树！

经过它时，我习惯性地抬头看，哇！这棵大榕树仿佛被调了包似的，在截断树枝的“伤口”上，在光秃秃的枝丫上，竟然冒出了一点点嫩绿的新叶。叶子虽然不大，但是颜色亮丽，像个精神十足的士兵！他们在深棕色的庞大树干间显得格外明亮夺目，神气十足，把树干点缀得格外引人注目。整棵树，像挂满了绿色的灯泡，显得亮堂堂的。

我很惊讶:它们为什么在一夜之间就能从一片叶子都没有到长出那么多叶子呢？小小的叶子竟然有如此的气魄和决心，使它们可以突破树干，长出新叶!而濒死的大树，又是什么样的勇气让它拼命吸取大地的影响，挣脱死神的手掌，从死亡的边缘跑到生的希望？
