导读：近几年的高考对同学们的英语作文要求越来越高。很多同学为了保证英语作文没有语法错误，写作的时候仅仅用基础词汇和基本句型，这样的作文拿不到高分。相反有些同学在写作的时候，有意识地使用一些高级词汇，即使有错误却仍然属于高档次作文。长沙新东方高考频道为同学们整理了100个高考英语作文好句，供大家积累。
1. It is important for everyone to learn English well in our rapidly developing world.
在这个迅速发展的世界里，对每个人来说，学好英语是非常重要的。
同样句型包括：It is important/(necessary, difficult, convenient, possible)for sb. to do sth.

(1)The+比较级..., the+比较级...

How I Improve My Writing 我是怎样提高英语写作的
I began to practice English writing a year ago. Though I’m very glad to say that I have made some progress, I still have a long way to go. Some pen friends and my classmates asked me how I improved my writing. Here I’d like to tell my story.
When I began to learn writing last term, I made many mistakes in grammar and also in idioms. I often thought in Chinese and just translated what I had in mind into English. My English teacher, Mr. Sun, helped me. He pointed out my mistakes and told me that I should try to think in English, not in Chinese, pay attention to English grammar and idioms, and use simple sentences whenever I can. I did as he said. When I finished writing, I read it very carefully and checked it up. As soon as I found out mistakes, I corrected them at once. I have kept on doing this and found I am making fewer mistakes than before. My teacher says I have improved a lot and he encourages me to continue practicing. No pains, no gains. Through nearly a year of practice, my writing has improved. I’m very lucky that two of my short English articles have been carried in the newspapers. I have become even more interested in writing. I’m an ordinary girl and I’m not very clever. But I know it is very important to keep on practicing. Practice makes perfect. So I think three things are important in learning writing: first, we must be sure of ourselves; second, we sh ould pay attention to English grammar and idioms; third, we must keep on practicing and be more careful in writing. As I sat in my room one summer day preparing my lessons, I felt that it was very hot and disagreeable. The sun shone brightly and the birds kept perching on the trees which, as there was no wind, made no stir. Suddenly a dark cloud hid the sun. The wind began to blow. I knew that a storm would soon come.
The sky was full of black clouds. Flashes of lightning lit up the courtyards, old houses and porches, and thunder began to roar overhead. No birds sang any longer while the leaves of the trees rustled and a wind blew against our faces. A drop of water fell, then another, and then the rain fell on the roofs with a noise like the beating of drums. A brilliant stripe of light filled the sky. Suddenly there came a terrible thunderclap overhead, and then the sky was full of roars of thunder.
After a while, the rain stopped and the thunder and lightning ceased. The sky became blue again,通讯(Communication), and the birds once more sang sweetly, while the trees and the flowers seemed almost as happy as before.

有史以来的第一次月考结束，随之而来的成绩单给我以沉重的打击。
总分597的试题我错失了约70分，且其中约60%是因审题不仔细，了解不透彻，思想和手不协调而白白流失的。这种发现狠狠地砸着我的心脏。我明白，这是人生在警告我：若不抑制或消除马虎大意的毛病，后果将会不堪设想。因而我将在未来的时间内将我买所有资料都跟上进度，并在做题过程中时刻防止马虎，一点一点的把它从我的生命中剔除掉，保证我做题拥有极高的准确率。
浏览初一学生的成绩单，我感到了巨大的危机感——全级语文在100分以上的有29人，数学在110分以上的有16人，英语在100分以上的有20人，且三大主课成绩内并不缺乏满分者。我的语文成绩88分，数学成绩81分，英语成绩92分在相比之下是如此的渺小与可怜。我忽然发觉：因长时间蝉联，我懈怠了，忽视了潜在的竞争力，只把注意力放在了初三这一狭小的空间；从而导致我与新生差距如此之大。我的自尊心和虚荣心强烈的警告着我：不能再这样下去了！作为一名学姐，成绩竟比学弟学妹还要低，这成何体统？因而我必须努力努力再努力，不断突破身体的极限，形成“深夜睡觉，三更读书”的生活习惯；并且不遗漏遇到的任何一个难题，先想后问，努力做到各科成绩均衡。我就不信我的拼命再加上我的聪明才智捕捉不到标准答案！
尽管这只是一场小测试，但也不容忽视。如今的努力是为了未来的不悔。我将永不言弃。

By the time children enter school, they’ll have spent up to one-third of their waking hours in front of TV. The enormous influence of television is just beginning to be realized. While many parents take television as an electronic baby-sitter, they neglect the fact that television may be more harmful than it is beneficial to children.
Those who encourage small children to watch television claim that many programs for children on TV are helpful to develop children’s interest and enrich their knowledge. They also argue that preoccupied with TV programs, children are prevented from doing mischief. Although at a first glance these arguments sound true, the behavior of some children doesn’t seem to prove them.
In the first place, programs for children are not always beneficial to them. One science fiction serial keeps telling about some supernatural beings who can fly and always fight against evildoers. After watching several episodes, a small child was so enchanted that he imitated the heroes and “flew” from his room on the second floor. There are also reports of children running away from home to the mountains to practice martial art. These incidents are naturally credited with TV programs for children.
Further, being preoccupied with TV programs is not a good way for avoiding mischief. In the days before TV, parents used to gather together with their children, telling stories or reading poems to them. The communication between parents and children was thus better, so it was easier for children to understand what was good who approve of children’s watching TV neglect television’s bad effects on children. Firstly, children are surrounded and bombarded by commercials for toys and foods. They are tempted into becoming consumers. They earnestly ask their parents to buy things which they do not really need. As a result, the parents are in a financial dilemma, and the children themselves always become victims of bad products because of false advertising.
Another bad effect of television is that children are over-exposed to violence. They watch hours of murders, fights, and crimes every week, with no adult around to tell them that life is not like that most of the time. The effect of the heavy dose of violence is to suggest to children that violence is an ordinary way of life, and that shooting and cheating are ways to serious of all, children who often watch TV are becoming passive. They just sit back and let things happen to them. Children are inventive; they have the ability to imagine a whole world of their own. But what happens when their imagination is not needed, when TV does all the imagination for them? Obviously, these children are not going to grow up as inventive and imaginative as their parents, for they have been robbed of creative impulses by television.
To sum up, children’s indulgence in television is harmful. The problem, nevertheless, is not one of prohibition. Parents should supervise and guide their children’s watching TV instead of parking them in front of the tube, hoping it will act as a baby-sitter.

As soon as we arrived, the workers told us how these animals were collected and what they did to help them. Then we were divided into small groups and helped them clean the cages. We were given some food to feed these animals.
I learned a lot from this activity. Animals need our care and attention, so we should devote our time to taking care of them.
