1. be patient with/to 对......有耐心

The doctor is very patient with his patients.这医生对病人很耐心。

As a teacher,it’s important to be patient to his or her students.作为老师，对学生耐心是很重要的。

Patient还有“病人”之义，上面第一句中的patients就是此义。

*be patient of sth.表示“忍耐某事”，如有耐心的英语：

Teachers are always patient of their students ’ faults.老师总是忍耐学生的过失。

Nobody can be patient of your bad habits.没人能忍耐你的坏习惯。

2. be afraid of害怕，后接名词，代词和动名词

My daughter is afraid of the dark.有耐心的英语我女儿害怕黑暗。

My father is very strict and we are all afraid of him.我爸爸很严厉，我们都怕他。

Lily is afraid of swimming in the river.李丽害怕在河里游泳。

*be afraid to do sth.也是“害怕做某事”，可以与be afraid of doing替换。

The little girl is afraid to stay at home alone.小女孩害怕一个人呆在家里。

3. be born with....天生具有......

He was born with super ability to learn.他天生就有超强的学习能力。

The girl was born with great natural intelligence.这女孩天资聪颖。

*be born in出生于......（时间或地点）

I was born in a small village.我出生在一个小村庄。

4. be active in ....,在......方面积极（强调状态）

Many students are active in school activities.许多学生积极参加学校活动。

Mary is always active in thinking in class.Mary课堂上总是积极思考。

*take an active part in积极参加（强调动作）。

Many teachers also took part in the sports meeting.
