为了贯彻落实《基础教育课程改革纲要》精神，激发广大学生学习英语的兴趣，提高他们语言实际运用能力，我们着手建立英语口语社团。英语口语社团活动是英语课堂活动的补充和延伸，它着力于培养学生对英语口语的兴趣。它与课堂活动相比更具灵活性、可塑性。我们本着自愿参加，并在此基础上任课老师精心挑选的原则（每班限选2名学生）组建初一和初二英语口语社团。

一、活动目的：

通过活动，使学生的特长得到更好的发展，进一步提高学生语音语调的准确性，提高学生的口头表达能力及表演能力，并随时做好参与南通市及江苏省英语口语电视比赛的准备。

二、活动要求：

每个年级英语口语社团活动人数不宜过多，大约50名左右。活动固定，每周一次，活动制度化。遇到有特殊情况择日进行，不轻易暂停。参加成员坚持自愿报名，精心制定活动计划，保证活动的深度、广度和密度。要求如下：

1、组织学生按时参加活动；

2、每周二下午第四节课进行社团活动，小组成员必须准时到达指定教室；

3、小组成员应严格遵守纪律，不准在教室大声喧哗，破坏、损坏教室的财产；

4、每次老师布置的口语练习，所有社团成员都应积极参与完成。

三、活动目标

1、开展形式多样的英语口语活动，通过看图回答问题，看图编对话，自命题演讲，命题演讲，小对话、小组合作秀等形式来调动学生对口语练习的兴趣；

2、让小组学生利用课上和课余时间引领全班同学参与英语口语训练，调动所有学生对英语口语学习的积极性。

3、通过本学期的活动，使社团所有成员能在一定情境中用英语自由表达自己的思想。

四、采取的措施

1、做好组织工作

在学生自愿报名参加的基础上，各班要挑选有一定英语口语基础、成绩好的学生参加，每班限报2人。要选出有工作能力、成绩也好的学生担任组长，以便开展协进学习，增加每个成员的英语口语训练机会。

2、所有的培训教师都要认真负责，把它看成是学校英语活动的重要组成部分，使社团活动开展得生动、活泼、丰富。
