Third,across our society,the awareness of protecting the environment has not built up so that people haven't formed a habit of using green product and saving energy as much as possible. If we don't take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation.

Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve the environment. In my opinion, to protect the environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, people should be educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the policy of population into practice, because more people mean more pollution. Finally,laws concerning environmental protection should be put into effect and enforce strictly just as our government has been doing. To sum up,if we work together to take out such measures,our environment will get better and better and haze weather will vanish completely.

（1）总结型。总结型论文，这类论文是对某一个问题的解决方案、某一现象的观点态度等加以分类整理，将解决方案或存在的问题等整理出来，让人有一个整体地认识和了解。常见类型有以下两类：①实践中存在的问题归类整理。如《英语课怎样去“探究”？》一文列出探究性学习的七个误区，如《英语探究还应关注的四个“问题”》一文列出探究中还应该关注的四个问题。②方法总结。即对某一问题的具体解决方法归纳整理。如《窥探小学英语课堂教学中的情境创设》一文将课堂教学中情境创设的几种方法加以总结整理。

（2）观念型。观念型论文，通常是向读者表达一个思想性的内容，包括对某件事情的看法、对某个现象的认识、对某个过程的评价、对某些行为的价值意义的理解等。常见形式有教学反思、案例分析、教育叙事、教学随笔等。这类论文往往讨论教育教学理念、教育教学思维方式等方面的问题。

（3）整合型。整合型论文，是将两个不同的概念放在一起讨论，揭示它们之间的内在联系。常见的论文形式有：①学科整合。如《课内外相结合，培养环保意识》一文将英语学科与环境保护相结合，找到两者之间的内在联系，从而实现双赢。②科学方法在英语学科中的应用。如《“类比”在英语教学中的应用》一文将“类比”的方法应用到英语教学中去，从而实现教学效率的提高。③功能结合。将两个不同的功能结合在一起讨论，找到它们的内在联系。如《英语教学与探究能力的培养》将英语教学与探究能力结合在一起讨论。

二、论文课题选题的基本方法

有以下一些方法可以帮助我们从他人的论文课题中得到灵感，产生自己的论文课题。

（1）具体化。也可称为“缩小范围”，即对某一普遍的自然规律具体化到某一个特定环境里体现出来，并揭示这一特定环境中特有的规律。如《英语游戏教学情境设计》即从普遍的英语课堂情境创设具体化到游戏教学的情境创设，缩小情境创设的使用范围，在游戏教学这个具体环境里谈如何进行情境创设，文章除了揭示普遍的情境创设规律外，还要揭示游戏教学中创设情境特有的一些规律，这样便产生了新的论文。

（2）泛化。也可称为“扩大范围”，方法和思路正好与“具体化”相反，从论述同一问题的各种具体环境里找到共同点，从而揭示这一类问题的共同规律。

（3）迁移。顾名思义就是将某一特定环境下的规律迁移到另外一个类似的环境里，并找出另一个环境里特有的规律。如《在英语课堂中培养学生的创新能力》可联想到“在数学课堂中培养学生的创新能力”。

（4）结合。将两个不同的概念摆在一起讨论，找到两者之间的联系方法，从而实现一箭双雕或因果联动的效果。如《通过英语课本剧培养学生分工合作的能力》是将英语课本剧与培养学生分工合作能力相结合起来讨论。

三、论文课题定题的基本原则

怎样选择一个适合自己的课题进行研究呢？通常英语论文课题选择应遵循以下三个原则：

（1）可行性。这是首先要考虑的问题，包括时间、人力、财力等是否符合你现在的研究条件。通常情况，我们选择的课题宜小不宜大，就具体某个方面谈谈个人的看法，这样容易出成果。

（2）有价值。即选择的题目要有实践价值、理论价值、推广价值，说白了就是我们的研究要真正对自己和别人平时的工作有所帮助。

（3）创造性。我们选择的论文课题应视角独特、方法独到、眼光细致，文章要有与众不同的地方，在某方面要比别人思考得更深入、更全面。

总之，教师只要不断促进自己的专业化成长，深入去思考，并将自己的思考加以总结，就能写出一篇很好的论文。

研究型教学是一种教学模式或教学理念，指教师以课程内容和学生的学识积累为基础，引导学生从自然和社会生活中选择和确定专题进行讨论研究、材料搜集、归纳总结等，使学生在研究过程中主动获取知识、应用知识，自主发现问题、解决问题，并培养其创新精神和实践能力。整个教学过程具有研究性、实践性、自主性、开放性等特点。

二、大学英语研究型教学的实施意义

首先，大学英语研究型教学能提高大学英语教学质量。目前，大学英语教学存在的问题主要是课堂教学与学生实际生活联系不强，部分学生英语学习的积极性和主动性不高，英语综合能力不强。研究型教学能很好地解决这些问题。在研究过程中，学生运用英语进行合作、讨论、归纳与展示，将课本知识与课外实际相结合，提高了英语学习兴趣，听、说、读、写、译的英语综合技能也得到了发展。

其次，研究型教学体现了现代大学教学的培养目标。当今世界各国高校的教学改革都在围绕着如何培养学生的创新能力和实践能力来展开。大学英语研究型教学适应时代要求，体现了高等教育本质，能够为社会培养高素质的创新人才。

1.英语辩论会

在设计案例时需要注意几个问题。首先，设计案例时要考虑现实性，即考虑学生现有的水平和已掌握的知识；其次，设计的案例最好来自实际环境或学生身边熟悉的例子；再者，设计的案例要考虑未来性，即对于学生今后的学习、生活和工作有指导意义。

调查活动对学生有深远的意义。首先，能锻炼学生英语说、读、写等综合能力；其次，给学生提供亲历社会生活的机会，让学生增长见识，加深对社会的了解；再次，能培养学生的创新精神和实践能力。最后，督促学生深入了解自然与社会相关问题，使学生学会关心国家和社会的进步，增强社会责任心和使命感。

4.论文写作

教师可以设计一定的论题让学生分组撰写英语论文。论题可以是课文的主题，也可以是与英语学习、英语知识相关的话题，如中西餐桌礼仪的差异。

撰写英语论文的第一个目的是锻炼学生的英语综合能力。学生在写作过程中运用英语进行了阅读、讨论和写作，操练了英语各项技能。

第二个目的是培养学生的科学研究能力，使他们初步掌握进行科学研究的基本程序和方法，掌握如何收集、整理和利用材料，如何观察、调查、作分析，如何利用图书馆检索文献资料等，直接参与和亲身体验了研究工作的全过程及其各环节，是一次系统的、全面的实践机会。

第三个目的是培养学生提出问题、分析问题和解决问题的能力，使学生具有开拓精神和创新精神。

四、结语

通过大学英语研究型教学，学生积极、主动参与英语学习过程，获得亲身体验，在真实的语言环境和真实的任务活动中运用语言，通过探究不断发现和归纳语言规则，锻炼了英语综合技能。其次，研究型教学通常围绕一个需要解决的实际问题展开。在学习的过程中，学生自主发现和提出问题，设计解决问题的方案，调查研究，得出结论并进行成果交流，积极应用己有的知识与经验，锻炼了创造性思维和实践能力。此外，大学英语研究型教学涉及社会、经济、科学、历史、文化等多方面的内容。在研究的过程中，通过社会实践和调查研究，学生深入了解自然与社会相关问题，学会关心国家和社会的进步，增强了社会责任心和使命感。

The farmers do not want to kill any of their cattle, so the cattle eat ail the grass and anything that grows on poorer land. If this continues for several years, the grass never grows again and the land becomes a desert. One suggested answer is for farmers to limit the numbers of their cattle.

Another problem is that good soil is gradually lost. When trees are cut down, there is nothing to hold the soil in place on the hillside. So when if rains, the soil is washed down the hills and into the rivers. Strong winds can also blow away the valuable soil that lies on the top of the fields.
